With a focus on excellence, teamwork, and musical growth, the McLean MS Band provides a supportive environment where beginners and advanced performers alike can thrive. Students participate in a range of ensembles and activities, including concerts, community performances, and special events that highlight their dedication and talent.
Parents and community members can stay connected, find important updates, and explore performance opportunities by visiting the official McLean Middle School Band website.
Orchestra
The Mission of the McLean Orchestras is to learn the skills to play the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Orchestral Bass. It is through these skills that the student will learn to play in an ensemble and what it takes to work collaboratively with others. We want to ensure that all students appreciate the value of quality music in society and develop qualities of leadership, citizenship, and pride in performance, ultimately resulting in an orchestra of young professionals.
Choir

The Cardinal Choir program is a dynamic and student-centered vocal music community dedicated to developing confident, expressive, and skilled singers. Through a structured and supportive environment, students learn essential vocal techniques, music literacy, and performance skills while cultivating a deep appreciation for choral music.
The program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and artistic growth, encouraging students to collaborate as an ensemble while also developing their individual voices. Choir members participate in concerts, performances, and school events that showcase their hard work and musical progress throughout the year.
Theatre
The McLean Theatre program is an engaging and creative performing arts community where students explore the world of theater through acting, stagecraft, and performance. Designed to inspire imagination and build confidence, the program encourages students to express themselves while developing essential communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Students in Theatre participate in a variety of productions and activities that allow them to experience both on-stage performance and behind-the-scenes roles. From learning acting techniques to understanding stage design and production elements, participants gain a well-rounded appreciation for the theatrical arts.
The program fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to shine, grow, and contribute to a shared creative vision. Performances and projects throughout the year showcase students’ talents and dedication, providing memorable experiences for both participants and audiences.
